The Crafted Beer Festival returns for the seventh year. The Crafted Beer Festival is coming to Kurrawa Park in Broadbeach on September 9 and 10. The 2023 Crafted Beer Festival will be frothier than ever, with 400+ brews from 50+ brewers, including exclusives and limited-release beers.
Breweries
Be among the first to sample the Crafted-exclusive brews! This year’s brewery lineup includes both festival favourites and newcomers.
Expect anything from IPAs to sours, classic ales, crisp lagers, and ciders, as well as crazy and unique flavour combinations to keep your palate satisfied. There will also be a slew of alcoholic ginger beers, seltzers, hard kombucha, and other ‘hard’ craft brews, as well as a selection of 0% and low-alcohol beverages.
Cocktails, Spirits & Wine
Granddad Jack’s, Miami’s favourite distilling legends, bring their award-winning craft spirits to Crafted in the Granddad Jack’s Craft Spirits Bar and whisky tasting sessions. The famed Granddad Jack’s Craft Distillery will feature an unpublished mix only on Sunday.
Carafe Wine will also serve Australia’s top wineries on tap, decanted into carafes. There will be wine and cheese tasting as well! Grab your wine companion because Carafe Wine will be holding sessions on Sunday.
Food
Allow your tastebuds to guide you. The Crafted Beer Festival also offers a variety of food options, like fiery hot wings, juicy smashed burgers, truffle gnocchi, and tacos. Entertainment
All weekend, some of the best beer-sipping tracks will be blasted live over the Gold Coast Music Stage, making it Happy Hour all day. The first day’s headliners are none other than Sydney’s Polish Club. With only one guitar, one vocal, and one drum kit, the intensity they bring to the stage makes you assume there are more than just the two.
Fat Picnic, Canberra’s indie-punk rockers Sputnik Sweetheart, Brissie’s femme-punk band Being Jane Lane, reggae coastal rock project Lucid Safari, Sunny Coast indie pop outfit Fragile Animals, and indie rock darlings The Dandys will join them.
Get ready for Gold Coast royalty, bass-fueled electronic aficionados Tijuana Cartel, on Sunday. These party starters will have you dancing until the last drink.
Kurilpa Reach’s dub-reggae-psych beats, Newy’s sun-drenched rock outfit Nana Klumpp, modern-Americana songstress Ruby Gilbert, Byron-based indie-rockers The Colliflowers, and local blues outfit The James Street Preachers will round out the lineup for the ultimate Sunday session.
Activities
Aside from brews, food and entertainment, you may participate in activities like the Burleigh Barrels Beer Yoga. Sessions will be on both days. Do you need a good laugh? You’ll giggle from ear to ear if you attend the Madocke Beer Brewing Comedy Sessions! Do you enjoy spicy food? If you can handle the heat, compete in Cycho’s Hot Wing Competition on Sunday for the ultimate wing-off.
